For many women, breastfeeding can feel like a constant contradiction. It is natural and innate, but it is also confusing and takes practice. While it gets easier over time, the beginning days, weeks, or even months of breastfeeding can be overwhelming, exhausting, painful, and messy! The good news is that there is a wealth of information and support for breastfeeding women.

It took about a month for me and my son to get the hang of breastfeeding. Due to a difficult birth, he wasn’t able to latch immediately. I pumped for about a month, during which we continually tried to conquer breastfeeding. We saw a lactation consultant who provided us with lots of tips, resources, and products to help transition from bottle to breast. Before we began this journey, I had no idea how much I didn’t know about breastfeeding!

I hope that this website might be able to offer tools, suggestions, and general support to all the breastfeeding moms who are feeling lost or overwhelmed. Every journey is different. There may be many uphill battles along the way. It may be an entirely uncomplicated and simple process for you. But, the constant that we all share is a love for our children and the desire to keep them well fed, happy, and healthy.
